• The KuaiXue (, ``fast learn'') tool for learning Chinese (Windows and Unix versions available), written by Professor Norman Matloff and his group.

• An introduction to Chinese computing by Dr. Matloff, for both native speakers and learners of Chinese. Introduces the concepts of various Chinese codings, and so on; written in a nontechnical manner, giving the user the absolute minimum.

• Sites in which Chinese materials, e.g. magazines and novels, can be read or downloaded.

• A list of other Web sites for Chinese software or other Chinese- language topics.
