Hwk1 Due Monday, January 22. 1. Construct a serial binary adder, as described in Hayes, as a Chipmunk MODULE. In a SEPARATE Chipmunk file/page, put in three SHIFT registers and miscellaneous logic to test your serial binary adder for 4-bit strings. 2. Construct multiplication hardware for 4-bit strings, producing an 8-bit product, using the carry-save adder approach outlined in Hayes. Use two CSA components. Again, do all this modularly, onstructing CSA, the multiplier and the testing logic in three separate Chipmunk modules. Make the CSA's wide enough (including a carry-out bit) for the purposes here. Note: In computing S, note that Si = xi xor yi xor zi.
