Undergraduate Research Project, Fall 2017
I have a research project suitable for a CS or Stat major, possibly
someone in another field. Here are the requirements:
-
The project involves a combination of R and Python, more the latter
than the former, but with both coming into play. Experience in
at least one of those two languages would be highly desirable, and
knowing both would be ideal for this requirement.
- The project involves continued development of an
existing simple debugging tool for R, written in Python (could have
been written in R, but isn't). Thus the student needs to have spent
enough frustrating hours debugging to have hoped there is a better way. :-)
- The student should be a self-starter and not afraid of working
under somewhat open-ended instructions.
