The Microsoft Windows version of KuaiXue, which we will refer to here as KXWin, is similar to kxterm (click here for an overview of the latter, which will double as your introduction to KXWin). The only difference is that KXWin works only as a file viewer, while kxterm acts as a full terminal.

KXWin is entirely self-contained, consisting of the files listed below. (This is in contrast to the DOS version of kxterm, KX, which requires a Chinese DOS environment such as KC.) Download the files as follows:

• The executable file and associated startup and documentation files.

• The dictionary files.

• The GB and Big5 fonts files (you may wish to download only one of these if you anticipate using only that encoding method).
